The
minutes of the previous meeting were agreed as being a true record. Following
NR’s resignation at the the AGM it was proposed and agreed that the Forum write
to Nigel to thank him for his service, support and guidance since the Forums
conception and present him with a voucher to the value of £100-00 as a gesture
of the groups thanks.
Team Plymouth:
It
was felt that clubs should lobby UKA on a rule change on 1st Claim club issues
to allow the concept of Team Plymouth to move forward.
Brickfields;
Track certification has still not been seen nor has it been displayed. The issues over long jump still needs to be sorted. The council are charging VAT for block bookings at Brickfields which they are not entitled to do so. This is being challenged by PAC through local councillors. Forum’s use of the track is an integrated session with PAC.
Armada Forum T & F team:
Composite
team has been registered for the SW League which is holding its AGM on 20
October. Need to sort at the next meeting.
Development Plans: Neil Parsley’s workshops
in Plymouth were attended by some Forum clubs who found them interesting and
useful. There was a cross section of sports represented.
Finance: £9,672.93 in bank and £117.69 cash.
Still
lack of support for events that PAC
have been putting on.
CC
also asked if Forum Sportshall equipment is still available to use by PAC. LC
stated that it was available for all to use. List of Sportshall equipment
available supplied at meeting.
Current
status of clock repairs/replacement. PR advised that the clock was with the
original supplier for costing of repairs. The meeting felt that we should
continue to cost a replacement clock and look at repairing the current one.
Action now PR
KR

November. AH advised that when qualified as Level One Official a log book record
of events attended needs to be kept.
Beacon
Challenge and Charity Fun Run KR thanked those that had attended despite the
bad weather. The Fun Run raised £1600.
Plymouth
Schools Sportshall Competition – The Forum needs to link in with SSCo for dates
of schools events in the future. The group was advised that the point of
contact should be the Partnership Development Manager. It was reported that
Club Athletes were competing for the Plymouth Schools Sportshall Team and this
was not the plan.
The
meeting thanked Steve Rose for the information circulated by him on contacts
that may be willing to loan out tents.
A
continuation of sponsorship has been received from Robert Willcocks. The
meeting felt that as there was no mention of the previous support in the letter
received nor any update on progress to date that it was unable to continue
support.
RRLG
Seminars have been taking place. Nearest to SW was either Birmingham or London
but RRLG are willing to hold a meeting somewhere in the SW if there is enough
interest. No interest shown by group.

out that grants were available from EA SW Region but not both sources. Both
grants required commitment from attendees at courses to take an active part in
