NO 7 MILE RACE ENTRIES ACCEPTED ON RACE DAY

2008 RACE ENTRY FORM

• The "Magnificent 7" is a challenging seven mile road run at Saltash in Cornwall, organised by the Tamar Trotters. 
  The race is held under the rules of UK Athletics and is part of the Cornish Grand Prix Series sponsored by Sandy Hills Physical Therapy Centre
  The event also has a UK Athletics SILVER GRADING and is a member of the British Association of Road Races (BARR) which is an indication of the quality of organisation of the event. 
  
  
• The 7 mile race follows a tough, well marshalled and accurate course through country lanes with good views over the Tamar Estuary. 
  The course is not easy by any means but you will enjoy it

  The 7 mile race has a minimum age limit of 16 and is restricted to 350 competitors so enter early to secure your place. The race has reached it's entry limit every year since 2002
  
  
• There is also a 1.5 mile Fun Run for juniors and less adventurous athletes.
  The Fun Run takes place before the main 7 mile race so that runners can take part or spectate both events.
  
  
• Both races start and finish at Saltash Rugby Club in Moorlands Lane, Saltash, Cornwall
  The Fun Run starts at 10:15 a.m.
  The 7 mile race starts at 11:00 a.m.

• Prizes will be awarded in the following categories
  The prize presentation will take place at 1:00 p.m.
  

  Male 1st three overall 1st three under 40 1st three vets 40 - 44 1st three vets 45 - 49 1st three vets 50 - 54 1st three vets 55 - 59 1st three vets 60 - 64 1st three vets 65 - 69 1st three vets 70+ 1st, 2nd & 3rd team (6 to count)	Female 1st three overall 1st three under 35 1st three vets 35 - 39 1st three vets 40 - 44 1st three vets 45 - 49 1st three vets 50 - 54 1st three vets 55 - 59 1st three vets 60+ 1st, 2nd & 3rd team (4 to count)
  Bottle of champagne to first Male & Female runner to break the course record Male course record = 38:14  (Shaun Milford, Newquay Road Runners, 2000) Female course record = 42:27 (Jo Kelsey, Tavistock A.C.,  2002) All finishers in the 7 mile race will receive a large uniquely designed quality medal and a 'T' shirt All finishers in the Fun Run will receive a unique medal

• Entry Fees :-
  Entry Fee for the 7 mile race is £8.00 for members of affiliated athletic clubs and £10.00 for all others. 
  Fun Run entry fee is £1.50. Fun Run entries are accepted on race day
