Junior Event  - 200m Pool Swim and 2.5k Road Run

Relay Event - Teams of 2, Pool Swim or Road Run

Event starts at the Saltash Leisure Centre at 1:00 p.m.

Prize for first male and female in each category (see below)

(There are no category prizes awarded for the relay event)

Prize for the first male and female team, 3 to count

Medal to all finishers

ENTRY FEES

 

        Entries are strictly limited so enter early

REGISTRATION

·          Registration will take place on race day at the Saltash Leisure Centre in Callington Road, Saltash

·          You will be sent a personal registration time with your final instructions. Please ensure that you register before the time indicated in those instructions

·          Changing, shower facilities, refreshments and baggage stowage available

THE SWIM

·          The pool will be available from 12:30 – 12:50 p.m. for practice / warm-up lengths

·          The first swimmers will start at 1:00 p.m.

·          The last swimmers will start at approximately 3:00 p.m.

·          The maximum number of swimmers per lane will be 2

·          For safety reasons backstroke or butterfly are not allowed, all other strokes are permissible

·          Full instructions will be sent to you prior to the event

·          The Referee’s decision is final on all matters

 THE RUN

·          The run will start at the transition area to the rear of the Leisure Centre

·          The 5k run will follow a two-lap course. A map of the course is displayed below

·          The run will be held under the rules of UK Athletics

·          All runners must wear shorts and a ‘T’ shirt or running vest throughout the run

·           Pacing by runners not in the competition will not be permitted

  PRIZE CATEGORIES

·          Prizes will be awarded to the first male and female individuals in the following categories –

JUNIOR EVENT
Junior – Age 9 - 10
Junior – Age 11 –12
SENIOR EVENT
Youth 1 – Age 13 – 15	Veteran 1 – Age 40 – 49
Youth 2 – Age 16 – 18	Veteran 2 – Age 50 – 59
Senior – Age 19 – 39	Veteran 3 – Age 60+

·           Prize for the first male and female team, 3 to count (senior event only)

·           There are no category prizes awarded for the relay event

·           The prize presentation will take place as soon as possible after the last competitor has finished. (approximately 4:00 p.m.)
