GRAND PRIX 2007
There are a total of 16 races that you can obtain points from, and on one occasion you have
a choice of two races on the same day. This year we are introducing a Joker that you can play
at any time. What this means is that you can pick any race that isn't a high profile race and
add it to your completed GP races. High profile being London, Paris, Great North, South, East
or West. Also excludes Plymouth 1/2. You must declare when you are going to use your
joker before you actually run the race. Declaring it afterwards will not be accepted.
Although the first race isn't until April, those that want to run in the Duchy 20 or marathon can
play your Joker on this race.
Who do you declare your Joker to? ANSWER - Kevin Stiff.
There is NO COST involved in taking part in the club Grand Prix. You only pay your race entry
fee.
You must complete at least 9 of the 16 events to qualify for a Grand Prix prize.
HELPING at the Mag 7, Saltash 1/2 & Kit Hill will get you a point for each
one that you help with, and we will need lots of help.
It's you helping that makes these three races a success.
JUNIOR GRAND PRIX
There is a total of 14 races.
You must complete 8 events to qualify for a Grand Prix Prize. Like the adults you too have a
Joker which you can use at any time but you must declare when you are going to use it before
you run the race, afterwards will not be accepted.
NOTE
This years Grand Prix has been set to try and challenge everyone of all abilities.
This year also we have ensured that the junior races are the same as the senior races.
This is in an effort to bring back the family atmosphere that we have experienced in years
gone by but have lost recently. These races can be good fun when we
turn out in mass and everyone supports and helps one another. If we do this then we will be
sending out a message to others what a great club we are and I'm sure you will enjoy your
running more, and as I have said already we will have a great 2007 running year. So please
support these races.
