OUR NEW CLUB HOUSE

Funds raised so far
PHASE ONE
updated 28th January 2008

THE LATEST NEWS

  • Total committed and paid so far is £12500. Those who have committed funding have not been chased at this time until we had more news on the site/plans. Once these are to hand we can sort out preferences and start the fundraising push with a more definite idea behind us - at the same time starting to look outside the Club for assistance.
  • Architects plans for our planning application are complete

The Tamar Trotters are working towards building a brand new club house within Saltash. A plot of land has been identified and planning permission is being sought.

This exciting  project is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality.

We are now in a crucial fund raising period. The club needs a grand total of £150,000 and in order to attract outside assistance we need to prove that we, as a club, have contributed and are in a position to raise funds.

Therefore Phase One of the project is to try and raise £50,000 from member's contributions and club fund raising activities.

The intention is that further funds will be raised by a combination of  corporate sponsorship, grants and awards and other fund raising activities.

How you can help

  1. Please consider pledging any amount that you can easily afford to the new club house fund. Members can donate any amount that they wish - there is no set amount nor is there a minimum or maximum. For some a monthly payment might be easier, others may prefer a lump sum.

  2. If you are a business owner please consider making a donation from your business. As we are a Community Amateur Sports Club registered with HM Revenue there may be possible tax breaks in such a gift.

  3. Take part in the Tamar Trotter's 100 Club and Grand Christmas raffle. Click here for more information on the 100 Club

  4. Whenever you make a purchase online please consider buying through www.easyfundraising.org.uk . It costs nothing to log on and register. Choose 'Tamar Trotters Running Club' as the supported cause and we get a percentage of the money spent. Couldn't be easier. These are just some of the retailers that will make donations if you purchase through www.easyfundraising.org.uk

  5. When searching for anything on the web, use "easysearch" which is an innovative 'charity search engine' where you can raise valuable extra funds for your cause just by searching online! Tamar Trotters Running Club have their very own unique search page:
    http://tamartrotters.easysearch.org.uk/

Easysearch is a new charity search engine where you can raise funds for your cause, simply by surfing the web! Powered by the world's 2nd largest search provider, easysearch works just like Google giving you fast, accurate search results every time you search online. But, unlike Google, easysearch gives you something back!

When you search using easysearch your cause will receive around a penny for every search you make. It doesn't sound like much, but the pennies soon mount up and a keen searcher can raise £25.00 a year - or more - just through their normal online searching! Easysearch is completely free to use, so this is a great way to support the Trotters - just by surfing the web as you do already! So get busy and search, search, search. Just think about it. If half the club members search regularly and raised say £15 per year for the club, this would result in around £5,000 in additional funds.

  6. Try to think of other fund raising initiatives

Many thanks for your interest in the club. Please remember that none of the above is
compulsory or indeed expected but if we all do a little bit we can achieve a lot.
