TRIP TO THE 2011 PARIS MARATHON
WITH NEWQUAY ROAD RUNNERS

Itinerary
Leave
Newquay on the evening of Thursday 7th April 2011
(there will be other pick-up points between Newquay and Plymouth).
Catch
the overnight ferry from Plymouth to Roscoff.
Friday
– Travel from Roscoff to Paris, register for the marathon and then to the
hotel - Hotel Ibis La Defense, 4
Boulevard de Neuilly, 92081 Paris La Defense Cedex, France.
Saturday
– Free day, or free bus tour of Paris.
Sunday
– Coach to the marathon start. Back to hotel after, then onto the restaurant
in the evening (optional extra).
Monday
– Leave hotel in Paris at 9.30ish, heading for Concarneau (Brittany), 1
night’s hotel accommodation with an evening meal. The hotel is situated
overlooking the beach with a swimming pool.
Tuesday
- Leave hotel at 9.30ish, heading towards Roscoff. There will be time to either
explore Roscoff which is very quaint and pretty or visit a local hypermarket.
Onwards to the ferry port to catch the 3pm sailing back to Plymouth, arriving
approx 8.30pm.
The
cost is £280 per person. There is a £50 single supplement. Last year
everyone was successfully paired-up, but single rooms are available if required
Anyone
wishing to go, there will be a £25 per
person deposit when you sign up.
A
second deposit payment of £55 per person
will be due by 30th September.
The
final balance will be due by 15th February 2011.
All
cheques should be made payable to WESSEX CONTINENTAL TRAVEL and are non-refundable.

For
those who intend to run the Paris Marathon, I will keep you informed via email
when the registration opens. It’s usually around the 22nd
September. It is the responsibility of each individual to register for
themselves.
